Man attempts to steal Rifle Police Department patrol vehicle
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Earlier this week, a suspect broke into the Rifle Police Department (RPD) and attempted to steal a patrol vehicle, authorities reported. After noticing headlights in the RPD parking lot, a RPD officer discovered an adult male driving a RPD patrol vehicle. The driver, identified as Manuel Alberto Cabrera, was arrested without resistance. Further investigation revealed that Cabrera broke into the RPD, stole a radio and keys, and attempted to take a patrol vehicle.

Arrest made in connection to Woodspring Suites fatal stabbing
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - The Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) continued investigation efforts of a homicide that happened on May 14th. The incident occurred around approximately 8:50 p.m. at the Woodspring Suites located at 659 Market Street. The GJPD received a report of an unresponsive male, upon arrival the male was discovered with a suspected knife wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The man was later identified as 38-year-old Dustin Nalls of Parachute, Colorado.
Man arrested after attempting to steal police car in Rifle
A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after attempting to steal a Rifle Police Department vehicle. A news release from the Rifle Police Department today stated that this morning at approximately 12:50 a.m., a Rifle police officer arrived at the police department and saw headlights in the department’s parking lot. An officer contacted the adult male before he was able to leave the department’s parking lot.
