Rifle’s budget getting a workout from last council meeting
The City of Rifle has begun their spending for this year’s budget, and a portion will soon be benefiting the Parachute Area Transit System. PATS will be funded by Rifle for the amount of $40,000 because Parachute’s town staff has estimated that 32% of rides originate or end in Rifle. PATS also has five stops in Rifle: Metro Park, the Park and Ride, Wapiti Ave., Grand River Hospital and Walmart.

Estimated cost for South Bridge reaches $105 million, City of Glenwood Springs works to cut costs
The City of Glenwood Springs discussed major updates to the South Bridge project during their March 7 and March 21 regular meetings, most of which are still hypothetical. The South Bridge project would construct a bridge across the Roaring Fork River, providing access between Colorado Highway 82 and neighborhoods east of Airport Road. The project would also pave a second evacuation route connecting the residents of the South Corridor with Highway 82.
