Tallassee softball clinches regional berth
The Tigers are headed back to Montgomery. Tallassee upset No. 1 seed Elmore County, 2-1, in extra innings in the AHSAA Class 5A, Area 5 Tournament. 3 inmates die in Bullock County Correctional Facility
UNION SPRINGS, Ala. (WSFA) - Three inmates have died in April at the Bullock County Correctional Facility in separate instances. ADOC stated that on Sunday, April 14, Clifton Leon King was found unresponsive in his cell. The medical staff administered care but were unable to resuscitate him, and he was pronounced dead by the attending physician. King was serving a life sentence for a murder in Montgomery County.
Woman dies after Wednesday morning I-85 crash
MACON COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A Georgia woman is dead following a morning crash on Interstate 85. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers responded to reports of a crash near mile marker 34, about two miles north of Franklin, around 5:30 a.m. Authorities say the car left the road, then hit a ditch and several trees before flipping over.
