1 killed in weekend Macon County motorcycle crash
MACON COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A motorcyclist died following a weekend crash in Macon County, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim, Henry Whitfield Jr., was traveling along U.S. Highway 80 West when he collided with a vehicle near the intersection of County Road 18, according to Sheriff André Brunson. The crash happened around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Fundraiser, benefit dinner set for woman paralyzed in Atlanta Highway shooting
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Two fundraisers have been created to help Amy Dicks, the woman paralyzed after being shot on Atlanta Highway on April 12. Dicks is “paralyzed from the chest down,” according to her family, and the incident “will impact her and her family mentally, physically, and financially for the remainder of their lives.”
