Tallassee’s Delfin reaches 60 goals
Irvin Delfin is in elite company. In the Tigers’ final regular season game of the year, Delfin became just the eighth player in AHSAA history to score 60 goals in a season. He is the first to do it since Andalusia’s Gage Theus in 2021 and he is the single-season record holder for Tallassee.
Tallassee softball clinches regional berth
The Tigers are headed back to Montgomery. Tallassee upset No. 1 seed Elmore County, 2-1, in extra innings in the AHSAA Class 5A, Area 5 Tournament. With the win, Tallassee not only eliminated the Panthers but also clinched their own regional berth and will play at least two more games in next week’s Class 5A Central Regional held at Lagoon Park.

Won the last time they faced Valley, and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tallassee Tigers were the clear victor by an 18-2 margin over the Valley Rams. Kam Tate made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over four innings pitched. Tate was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI.
