‘Miraculous recovery’: Dadeville mass shooting survivor able to stand again
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WSFA) - There’s been a heartwarming update in the recovery of 16-year-old Pike Road student Trinity Richards. She was shot four times in the Dadeville mass shooting last month while she was attending a friend’s birthday party. Now, she’s transferring from UAB to Children’s Hospital. It’s a development her family calls a miracle.
Shopping Center on Highway 49 opens with three new businesses
Dadeville will soon be the new home for Big Fish Real Estate Group’s new location, FawnBrook Home Market and Ivy Creek Family Care of Lake Martin. Tomorrow the Lake Martin-Dadeville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting from 3 to 6 p.m. for these three businesses. Big Fish is also bringing in multiple vendors with food and live music for this three-hour celebration.

Escaped Inmate from Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore County Recaptured
The Alabama Department of Corrections has recaptured Tandion Markeeice Stoudemire, 21, who escaped from the Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore County Thursday. Also arrested in connection with allegedly helping him escape is a Montgomery woman identified as Acacia Stallworth, 24. She was booked into the Elmore County Jail at 7:37 a.m. Thursday. She has since been released on bond. She is charged with Permitting/Facilitating Escape 1st.

UPDATE: Five Suspects Indicted in Dadeville Mass Shooting
Five suspects in the Dadeville mass shooting have now been indicted. That shooting left four people dead and 32 others injured, some critically. Those indicted are 20-year-old Johnny Brown of Tuskegee, and 19-year-old Willie Brown Jr., of Auburn, who are cousins — as well as 20-year-old Wilson Hill Jr., of Auburn. The other two suspects indicted are juveniles and are 16 and 17 years old.
