Auditions for Gaslight summer play

The 2024 summer production at the Gaslight Theatre in Shiner will be directed by Cuero City Councilman Bill Matthys. The play is “In Praise of Miss Brown” by Pat Cook, a heartwarming comedy about a high school teacher, Constance Brown, and her students in a small town in the early 1960s.

High school students are invited to audition for the cast, as there are roles for three males and two females, within the ages of 14 –19. Auditions for the student roles will be Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the theater located at 207 East 7th Street in Shiner.

Performance dates are set for July 19th, 20 th, 21st, 24 th, 26 th, 27 th and 28 th and August 2nd, 3 rd and 4 th. Tickets for the performances will be available beginning in July.
