SHERWOOD, Ark. — The Sherwood Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing juvenile. 15-year-old Janiya Powell was last seen on May 4 wearing a black graphic t-shirt and black leggings. She left her residence in her mother's 2008 gray Nissan Maxima, which has a temporary license plate with an unknown number.

SALINE COUNTY, Ark. — The Saline County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest after an incident left two people dead on Saturday night. According to reports, at around 10:00 p.m., Saline County sheriffs were called to a home on Jolie Place with reports of someone "attacking two individuals." Once they arrived at the scene they found two deceased victims.
224 people rescued amid Texas flood watch: 'We're not out of the woods yet'
More than 20 million people remain under a flood watch in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas on Sunday. Harris County, Texas, Judge Lina Hidalgo said Sunday that 224 people and 153 pets have been rescued amid the flooding. No deaths or injuries have been reported. "Unfortunately, what we saw was basically what we predicted, which was a lot of flooding," Hidalgo had said Saturday, noting that in some areas, there has been flooding "all the way up to the power lines." The east fork of the San Jacinto River crested at 77.8 feet above sea level and the water is still rising on the west fork, according to Hidalgo.
