State revises how gender is listed on driver’s license
PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - Officials announced new rules that will make it more difficult for transgender people to change the sex listed on their licenses and IDs. According to a news release from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, Arkansas will no longer allow residents to use “X” instead of male or female on state-issued driver’s licenses or identification cards. The policy revisions went into effect immediately on Tuesday, March 12.
