Dutch Bros coffee pitches Streetsboro site as it moves into NE Ohio

A Dutch Bros coffee shop has submitted plans to locate in Streetsboro, on the same parcel where Texas Roadhouse once considered opening a restaurant. The Oregon-based coffee shop chain has proposed a new building at 9580 State Route 14, next to Aldi, in front of the Shady Lake apartments. Streetsboro's Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the proposal at its meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Streetsboro City Hall, 9184 State Route 14. An expansion of Woodside Lake Campground at 9857 Elliman Road also is on the agenda, as is a facade change for Mavis Tire & Brakes, 9567 State Route 14. The Streetsboro location would be among the first Dutch Bros. locations in Northeast Ohio; others have been proposed for Fairlawn and Stow . The Arizona-based chain has a location in Columbus, two in the Dayton/Springfield area, and four in the Cincinnati area. In 2024, Mayor Glenn Broska announced that Texas Roadhouse, along with Chick-fil-A, were planning to build new eateries in Streetsboro, locating on the same State Route 14 property. Chick-fil-A fans camp out overnight before Ontario grand opening

ONTARIO ― Four Lexington High School friends and fellow tennis players were first in line outside the door of Chick-fil-A Nov. 5, bright-eyed and hungry for their favorite fast food at its 6:30 a.m. opening. Chick-fil-A's newest location created about 130 full- and part-time jobs, according to a news release. Drew Foster is the local owner-operator of the store at 897 Lexington-Springmill Road. To celebrate, Foster and team invited the community to show their spots at a "moove-in party" on opening day. Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, guests of all ages who visited dressed in cow attire could redeem one free entrée or kid’s meal. Of the Lexington friends who camped out, Tony Palmer said his friends came before him at 7:40 p.m. He arrived at 10 p.m. with the tent. Maddox Lamp said he and his friends played Monopoly. "We had a great time. It was awesome. So glad to be among these great people for the opening of Chick-fil-A," Lamp said. Customers seemed excited. Palmer and his friends planned the outing a couple days before the opening. "What's better than Chick-fil-A?" Palmer said. Lamp said he always makes a stop at Chick-fil-A
