Tampa police have arrested a suspect in connection with a series of laser strikes targeting commercial aircraft approaching Tampa International Airport. TPD said it has investigated more than 40 incidents since Jan. 1 where lasers were pointed at incoming flights. An investigation narrowed the suspect’s location to a specific area in South Tampa.

Baby Dies After Shocked Student Gives Birth in Dorm Room, Cops Say
Students discovered what turned out to be a dead baby in a garbage bin on Sunday near a University of Tampa residence hall, one day after residents reported hearing a crying baby in a first floor dorm room.
