An Alabama lemonade stand run by a 7-year-old girl has gone viral for a heartbreaking reason.

Emouree Johnson started selling lemonade not to save up for a new toy or video game. She’s trying to raise money to purchase a tombstone for her mom.

Karli Bordner, 29, died unexpectedly in March. Her cause of death is still unknown.

Selling lemonade at $1 per cup, Emouree has already raised over $10,000, thanks to her plight getting publicized on social media, leading to generous donations from other residents of her hometown of Scottsboro, Ala.

“I didn’t know that just by making a little lemonade would bring this many people,” the 7-year-old told WAFF.

“Emouree is so special, if you haven’t figured it out,” her grandmother Jennifer Bordner told WAFF. “I know her mama is looking down at her and is so happy.”

In addition to Emouree’s lemonade stand, a GoFundMe page was set up to help pay for Karli Bordner’s medical and funeral expenses.
