    Emmett Street fire under investigation

    SCHENECTADY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) – The start of a fire that happened in a multi-family home on Emmett Street in Schenectady is still under investigation. Schenectady City Fire Departments Deputy Chief Donald Mareno confirms that the fire was called in at 11:21 a.m. and was put out at 11:50 a.m. Friday morning.

    The American Red Cross gave emergency aid to 12 people including seven children ages one to 15.  It has been confirmed that there were no injuries sustained from the fire, but the Red Cross Staff and volunteers have stated that they will be available to help the families recover. Officials are also saying that the house is still salvageable.
