(WENY) — Elmira Heights Central School District (EHCSD) hosted an open house on Monday to showcase its new transportation facility. “The new transportation facility is something that's brand new for us in the Heights. The last time we had our own bus garage on campus was approximately 50 years ago,” said EHCSD Superintendent Michael Gill. “So, this is very exciting for us to be able to bring these operations into our community and really be able to serve our community even better.”

DMV Warns Drivers About Drowsy Driving Because of Upcoming Time Change

ALBANY, N.Y. (WKTV) -- As daylight saving time ends, drivers face higher risks on the road from drowsy driving. The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee shared this reminder, pointing to 2025 data from the Institute for Traffic Safety and Management that shows 3,371 police-reported crashes in New York involved fatigue or drivers falling asleep. Six of those crashes involved a fatality, and 1,284 resulted in personal injury.

As many in the community are aware, I have been defending motorists in traffic courts all around New York since 1992. I have seen a consistent decline in the alleged impartiality of the system.
