FBHS Track team shines at North Coast Conference meet
FORT BRAGG, CA — On Saturday, May 13, at the North Coast Conference Track and Field event at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, the Fort Bragg High School Varsity team spent the day racking personal bests and scoring two first places. Forty-two teams from multiple divisions, including some from the Bay Area and Sonoma and Napa Counties, met to determine the season’s NCS Class A Championship rankings.

The Sonoma Stompers open the 2023 baseball season on Wednesday, May 31 against the Petaluma Leghorns at Arnold Field. The local squad competes in the California Collegiate League, taking on the likes of the Healdsburg Prune Packers, Walnut Creek Crawdads, and Solano Mudcats. They’ll play a total of 47 games through August 6, 30 of them at home.
West County Lady Bulldogs Place 2nd in Class 2
(Springfield, MO) The West County Lady Bulldogs fall to the Mount Vernon Mountaineers in the Class 2 Softball State Championship at Killian Sports Complex on Tuesday, 6-0. Tech ending the season with heads held high
This baseball season was a historic one for Technology High School. From finishing second in league and getting to host the first ever North Coast Section playoff game, everything seemed to be looking up. The Titans had a lot of momentum coming into Tuesday’s NCS playoff game against Clear Lake High School up until the teams took the field. Once the teams took the field, it was clear the Titans got a tough draw facing Clear Lake in the first game. A 11-0 loss and getting mercy ruled wasn’t the way the Titans were hoping their first ever home playoff game would go, but as Head Coach Mark Meinhofer said, the season itself was the best in school history and one they will certainly build off for next year.

Credo successful in Division 5 debut
Ever since the start of its baseball program in 2016, the Credo Gryphon have been building. As the school became bigger so did the athletic programs. The baseball program, in particular, has been really good for a number of years now. The Gryphon have an NCS Title on its resume from a few seasons ago and have been competitive each and every season since the program debuted. Most of this success though has come at the Division 6 level, but this year saw the Gryphon step up in competition to Division 5. The May 16 game against International High School marked the start of a new era for the Gryphon.
