Michigan man convicted of choking nurse practitioner sentenced to 10 years in prison
DETROIT -- An inmate at the federal prison in Milan will spend an additional 10 years in prison after he assaulted and strangled a nurse practitioner during a medical visit in July 2023. According to the Department of Justice, Tyjuan Gray, 24 was sentenced in federal court Thursday by United States District Judge Terrence G. Berg.

MONROE COUNTY — ITC Holdings Corp., an independent electricity transmission company based in Novi, is conducting aerial patrols of high-voltage transmission lines in several counties, including Monroe County, through May 31, and again June 11-14. 36 dogs recovered from Toledo homes; dogfighting suspected
Thirty-six dogs believed to be involved in dogfighting were recovered from three North Toledo homes, according to the Toledo Police Department. Lucas County Canine Care and Control, the Toledo Humane Society, the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Office of Inspector General, and the police department served three residential search warrants, the department said. Fourteen dogs were found at the first residence, 15 at the second residence, and seven at the third, the department said.
