ACBDD and Beacon School celebrate 2024 graduate
Beacon School and the Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities (ACBDD) announces this year’s graduate — Alexis Highley. The milestone was made official during her graduation ceremony on May 17, in the school’s gymnasium. Highley, 21, has an easy-going personality with an infectious laugh, according to her teacher Samantha Dunlap. She loves music, dancing and socializing. She also has an interest in working and has been developing her skills during her time at Beacon. After graduation, Highley plans to continue working with a supported employment agency, spending time at home, exploring community engagement opportunities, and enjoying her hobbies.
