According to authorities, Lumpkin was apprehended during the execution of an arrest warrant at her residence on Chadduck Avenue. Upon entering the premises, officers were confronted with a disturbing sight: Lumpkin's 2-year-old son confined inside a makeshift cage, purportedly made of a playpen covered by a crib piece secured on three sides, rendering the child unable to stand or exit.
