ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - Police arrested a St. Johnsbury man for allegedly chasing down his neighbor and shooting at him with a BB gun. Police say on Monday just before 5:45 p.m. they got a call from a man claiming he was being shot at by a neighbor with what he believed to be a BB gun.

According to the Barre City Police Department, officers responded to an apartment on South Main Street for a report of a fight. When officers arrived, they were told one of the men had a rifle and may have retreated to the basement. They say another group of men were reported to be hiding in the stairwell upstairs.

Two arrested in Newbury after assault on officers, attempted escape
NEWBURY — Vermont State Police troopers faced resistance during the arrest of a wanted fugitive and an accomplice at a residence on Swamp Road on April 19. Ryan Sherman, 32, of Newbury, was located by troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks who were executing a no-bail fugitive warrant stemming from a parole violation.

Duxbury crash leads to DUI, multiple charges for Barre woman
DUXBURY — A two-vehicle collision on VT RT 100 near Lavanway Rd resulted in multiple charges for a 24-year-old Barre woman on April 17. Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the scene at 5:14 p.m., where they found a single white vehicle in a ditch and the driver, identified as Harley Porter, reportedly yelling at fire and EMS personnel.
