(FOX40.COM) — Parts of California from Sacramento to Red Bluff could get strong wind gusts Tuesday night and throughout Wednesday, making it difficult for some drivers, according to the National Weather Service.

The agency has issued a wind advisory for the region , including parts of the Delta region and Carquinez Strait, that begins at 11 p.m. on Tuesday and continues into Wednesday at 5 p.m.

During that time, northwest winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour could happen in the region, with gusts up to 45 mph.

This is strong enough to move some objects, bring down tree limbs and potentially cause power outages, and affect moving vehicles, the NWS said.

Parts of Interstate 80 to be closed for nearly one week. Here’s why

The places that could see the strongest winds are areas alongside and west of Interstate 5, such as Woodland, Williams, Willows, Orland and Red Bluff.

By the weekend, cool weather and a chance of precipitation could come to the Sacramento Valley and other parts of Northern California, the NWS said.
