TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. (WHCU) — A two-year-old boy is recovering after falling at Taughannock Falls State Park in Trumansburg. In a statement to WHCU, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation says the boy “fell approximately 25-feet off a trail near the lower falls” while hiking with his parents on Sunday evening. He is currently being treated for a head injury and is in stable condition.

This week in Ontario County, New York, there were three notable incidents. A 21-year-old man was arrested for firing a gunshot inside a home in Geneva with the intent to harm someone. In Canandaigua, a Rochester man was arrested for attempting to rape a child after communicating with them online. Additionally, bomb threats were made at a church in Perinton and a temple in Geneva, leading to evacuations and cancellations of in-person services. Fortunately, no injuries or dangerous situations were found in both locations.
