Second Person Charged In Atkins Drive Marijuana Bust

A second person has been arrested in connection with a Rome Floyd Metro Task Force bust that seized over 11 pounds of marijuana last week at 110 Atkins Drive off Turner Chapel Road, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Michael Shane Chastain, 50, is charged with felony trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

During the raid, police also seized several firearms, steroids and digital scales. He is further charged with felony possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act and misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects.

Amy Louise Bishop, 30, was arrested last week and also charged with felony trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent and possession of marijuana.

She was also charged with felony possession of fentanyl and misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects. Both remained in jail without bond as of Friday morning.
