Mount Carmel BMA approves 1st reading of budget with employee raises, no tax hike
The Mount Carmel Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the first reading of its 2024-25 fiscal year budget on April 25 with no tax hike, and a 5% salary increase for city employees. CCSO provides update on woman's body found in Del Rio in early March
COCKE COUNTY, Tenn — The Cocke County Sheriff's Department gave an update on a woman's body that was found in Del Rio in early March. Twenty-six-year-old Michella Day was found about 15 feet down an embankment off Punkton Road, according to Sheriff C.J. Ball. Day is originally from California but had an "established residence" in Hamblen County.
