GREENEVILLE — Volunteer picked up three of the Twin Lakes Conference’s top baseball honors when regular-season awards, decided on by the coaches, were doled out before Friday’s district tournament championship game at Tusculum’s Pioneer Park.

Volunteer senior Connor Haynes was honored, alongside Greeneville’s Carson Quillen, as player of the year. The Falcons’ skipper, Josh Peterson, was named the league’s coach of the year. Senior shortstop Isaiah Bowery shared defensive player of the year honors with Grainger’s Connor May.

Cherokee’s Cole Putnal garnered offensive player of the year honors, alongside Greeneville’s Colton Richards. Putnal was also named the league’s hitter of the year as a junior.

The pitcher of the year award went to Grainger’s Brayden Christian. Grainger’s Dain Humbard and Claiborne’s Garrett Keiter shared the newcomer of the year award.

Joining the award winners with all-conference honors for the 2024 season were Keaton Lawson, Manning Brooks and Clay Wagoner from Cherokee and Austin Williams, Anthony Blasini and Luke Armstrong from Volunteer.

Other all-conference honorees include Evan Thomas and Zay Gerrells from Claiborne, Kaine Ricker and Will Harmon from Greeneville, and Bralynn Sell, Kade Lucas and Cadon Cameron from Grainger.
