Lincoln Boys Tennis team is perfect after Day One of the State AA Tournament in Rapid City
RAPID CITY, SD (Dakota News Now) -The Lincoln boys came into Thursday’s State “AA”” Tennis Tournament as heavy favorites to bump their amazing streak of 9 straight state titles into double digits. Afterall, they went 19-0 during the dual season with 18 of those victories by a 9-2 margin. Only a 7-2 win over O’Gorman prevented Tom Krueger’s team from a perfect season.
Stevens baseball wins game one against Central
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) The Stevens and Central baseball teams met up for game one of their best of three Regional Friday night. The Raiders won 10-1 with Jackson Dial striking out 16. The two teams will play again Saturday at 1:00 and 4:00 if necessary.
Softball Recap: Rapid City Central falls despite strong effort from Haylee Lange
Rapid City Central is still looking for their season's first win. They fell 13-10 to the Spearfish Spartans on Wednesday. Haylee Lange made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double. Marielle Colhoff was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Chase runs in Boston Marathon
On April 15 Brady Chase achieved his dream of competing in the 128th Boston Marathon. Chase is the Hill City Elementary School third grade teacher and the Hill City Middle School girls basketball and track coach. When he started coaching track in 2021, Chase wanted to stay in shape and run with the students. So he started running eight to 10 miles a day and going for a 20 to 25-mile long run on the weekend.

Longmont, Colo., May 17, 2024 – The Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame will welcome a generational talent, a league and tournament promotor, and a leader in billiard media to the Hall of Fame class of 2024. The United States Billiard Media Association today announced that South Dakota’s “SVB” Shane Van Boening, amateur league owner and professional tournament promoter Mark Griffin, and Billiards Digest publisher Mike Panozzo have earned induction into the sport’s most prestigious club.
