Rapid City mayor says city is 'Open for business' with Costco
RAPID CITY, S.D. - Rapid City may be stepping closer to checking an item off their wish lists, a Costco in Rapid City. Recently at a town hall meeting for the Vision Fund, a Rapid City resident expressed concern that Box Elder was trying to get Costco to open a location in the city. Salamun responded, "So are we."
Rapid City dental clinic offers free services to those who can’t afford them
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Orchard Meadows Family Dentistry & Denture Clinic provides one day of free dental care in Rapid City to those who might not otherwise be able to afford dental care. The program is called “Dentistry With Heart” and it’s been around since 2019. Five local dentists and dental hygienists will use their skills for services such as dental cleanings, fillings or tooth extractions.
Juneteenth in Rapid City: Schedule changes and facility closures
RAPID CITY, S.D. - In observance of Juneteenth Freedom Day on Wednesday, June 19, there will be adjustments to city services and schedules in Rapid City. The Rapid City Landfill will be closed, and trash collection normally scheduled for Wednesday will be moved to Thursday of that week. Regular trash collection will continue on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
