Farber, Michels win Zimmerman council seats; 13-vote margin could lead to recount
Larry Farber and Karen Michels will fill two seats on the Zimmerman City Council, but the outcome of the second seat could face another review after Michels edged Dave Earenfight by just 13 votes. According to the reported results, Farber led the three-candidate field with 1,144 votes, or 33.70%. Michels received 1,113 votes (32.78%), while Earenfight finished with 1,100 votes (32.40%). There were 38 write-in votes. All eight precincts reported, with 100% of precincts reporting in the results posted by the Minnesota Secretary of State.
