Missouri State Track & Field (5/18): Rock Port girls, Mound City boys win Class 1 team titles
(KMAland) -- The Rock Port girls and Mound City boys won Class 1 state team championships in Jefferson City on Saturday. The KMAland Missouri domination was evident throughout Class 1 with 13 state championships. The Blue Jays were led by Rylee Jenkins’ state-record performance in the discus throw and a meet record from Ella Meyerkorth in the 300 meter hurdles. They also were second in the 4x800 and received a runner-up finish from Meyerkorth in the 100 hurdles. Norah Watkins was third in the 3200, as was the 4x400 meter relay team. Landry Kelley grabbed a sixth in the pole vault.

Hess provides update on 3 property clean ups, restorations in Sidney
(Sidney) -- Sidney officials heard an update on several properties being restored around town. During its regular meeting Monday night, the Sidney City Council heard an update from Jason Hess with Hess Properties, LLC, on the progress at 106 Main Street, 306 Filmore Street, and 201 Webster Street. The city sold the lots to Hess Properties back in September of last year. Regarding 201 Webster, Hess says much of the exterior work has been completed, and they will soon begin renovating the interior of the existing home.
