Muncie Central vs Logansport football sectional championship updates
Sectional championship week of the IHSAA football postseason is here, and only one East Central Indiana team is left standing. Muncie Central (8-4) will host Class 4A No. 10 Logansport (12-0) for the Class 4A Sectional 20 championship. The Bearcats stunned Yorktown in a 28-27 instant classic last week to punch their ticket to a sectional championship game for the first time since 2006. The Berries are coming into this game undefeated and ended the Bearcats' season in the sectional semifinals a year ago, so the purple and white are seeking some revenge as they look to bring home the program's first sectional title in 20 years. Follow along here for LIVE updates of the IHSAA Class 4A, Sectional 20 football championship game between Logansport (11-0) and Muncie Central (8-3)! Rossville volleyball believing ahead of first state championship game
ROSSVILLE — Since coach Lexi Ellenwood took over the Rossville volleyball program midway through the 2023 season, a poster reading “state champions” has hung up inside the team’s locker room. The Hornets slap the poster each time they walk by, knowing that it’s the ultimate prize and one that their school has never seen before. Senior setter Tori Fadness chooses to give it a kiss. Doing so hits a little different now. No longer is it just a dream — the Hornets (27-8) are playing for the Class 1A state championship Saturday, Nov. 7, in Gainbridge Fieldhouse against Indianapolis Lutheran (26-7). They didn’t always believe such an opportunity was possible. When it faced No. 1 Covington at the regional championship, Rossville viewed the Trojans as the team that it would have to get past if it wanted to make it to state. The Hornets didn’t go into that night thinking they’d lose, but maybe expecting the worst against a tough opponent. For the first two sets, it seemed like that might happen. But when things started to click in the third set, the belief started to get back on their side. Rossville won the final three sets, earning a reverse-sweep
