The children of Acea Homer and Clara Ann Waite Robison are pleased to announce their parents’ 70th wedding anniversary. Acea and Clara were married on March 20, 1953. Acea was born on 11 December 1932 in Fillmore, Utah. He served in the Army and worked at Thiokol for many years. He has a talent for working out puzzles and creating things out of wood. Acea has spent a lot of time serving in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including High Priest Group Leader and Nursery Leader.

Richfield rolls past Parowan
He shoots. He scores! One goal was all it took for the Richfield High School boys soccer team to win its home opener Thursday in a non-region game against Parowan. Lucas Foster, a Wildcat junior, scored the only goal of the game in the 57th minute. His first shot was blocked and deflected by the Ram goalie. As the ball was loose, Foster continued to rush toward the goal, and put it in the back of the net to give the Wildcats their first win of the season.
Richfield golf starts strong
The spring girls high school golf season is underway. The Richfield High golfers dominated the Region 12 season opener March 9 on their home course at Cove View. “Even though we received a skiff of snow early in the morning, we were fortunate to have our best weather day this new season,” said head coach Troy Jones. “It was awesome that it happened on the day of our first match. Many players were able to shed their sweatshirts and jackets midway through the round. I even saw a few of our RHS players with some light red on their faces from the season’s first sunny day.”
Lady Spartans earn win over South Sevier and head to St. George for weekend Tournament
The Lady Spartans were on the road to face the South Sevier Rams on Thursday. This was the first of many games in the three day period as Emery would travel to St. George for the rest of the weekend to play in a tournament. Emery was steady in the contest scoring in the first four innings while they held South Sevier off the board in the same span, taking the 7-1 win.

Carbon, Emery open girl’s golf season in Richfield
The Region 12 golf season is officially underway as both the Carbon Dinos and Emery Spartans traveled to Cove View, the homesite of the Richfield Wildcats, Thursday afternoon. Richfield protected its home course by finishing first with a final team score of 340. Carbon finished in a distant second after shooting a 416, topping third place Emery by 12 strokes. Canyon View finished in fourth with a 525.

On Thursday, Emery headed to Monroe to take on the Rams. The Lady Spartans never had a big inning, but they consistently applied pressure on South Sevier. They scored one run in each of the first three innings and then two in the fourth to go up 5-0. The game was never in question from there as they went on to take it 7-1.
