NewsChannel 7 collecting diapers and donations Thursday afternoon for Babies’ Place
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - You have been so generous during our NewsChannel 7 inaugural Diaper Drive, and you have one last chance to help out Thursday in person. NewsChannel 7 will be at The Babies’ Place on the Community Partners Campus. Its the drive-thru diaper drop-off. We will have staff and traffic cones to help guide you through the line. We’ll be collecting diapers, cash, or you can make a donation of $15 with your credit or debit card. That donation will go directly to the Babies’ Place. The nonprofit helps families in Marathon County in a variety of ways.

Children’s Museum in Rothschild holding Family Fun Day Saturday to help Wausau Community Theatre
ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAW) - If you’re looking for some hands-on interactive activities for you and the kids, this weekend, The Greater Wausau Children’s Museum is holding an event for a good cause. It’s a family fun day. It’s a fundraiser for the Wausau Community Theatre. If you pay for general admission to the museum on Saturday, 100% of your purchase will benefit the Wausau Community Theatre. There will be a few special activities including learn a dance sessions from the theatre’s upcoming production of “Anything Goes”, face painting, and even cookie decorating.

WAUSAU – The D.C. Everest softball team finished off its Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a 9-5 victory over Wausau East on Thursday at East High School. Thick Wildfire Smoke Spreads into the Northern U.S.
Wildfire smoke from Canada reached down and over parts of the northern plains. This led to moderate to unhealthy air in places like Appleton, Minneapolis, and Wausau this morning as a result, portions of Wisconsin and Minnesota are still under air quality alerts through late Monday morning because of the smoke.
