BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Appalachian Paranormal Arts and Culture Collective is proud to announce its inaugural celebration of ghosts, cryptids, high strangeness, and the unknown.
Like the fog blending with the surface of the river in a low holler of Appalachia, reflections and mists swirling in the sunrise, our legends & lore blend with truth and history, inspiring Haunted Beckley and Charleston Ghost Tour Company to bring you the Appalachian Paranormal Arts & Culture Collective. An event featuring artists, vendors & exhibitors of the paranormal & high strangeness kind. Join us in a journey through American spiritualism, history, folklore, UFO’s, cryptids, & ghosts!
Join us on May 11 at the Raleigh Playhouse and Theatre for a day of presentations by renowned paranormal investigators and authors. Visit exhibitions featuring local artists’ interpretations of paranormal themes along with jewelry and crafts inspired by the mysterious and unknown. Join discussions on folklore, cryptozoology, paranormal, and the supernatural. Presenters include Jannette Quackenbush, author of “West Virginia Ghost Stories, Legends and Haunts,” as well as over twenty other books on the supernatural. Celebrated author, paranormal investigator, and Podcaster, Dan Terry. Brie Hollingshead, paranormal content creator and host of Paranormal Road Trippin’ with Brie and Remotely Paranormal.
A few of the vendors and exhibitors include WV Bigfoot Museum, Haunted Haymond House, Charleston Ghost Tour Company, Haunted Beckley, Hands and Heart the Serendipity Shop, Theresa’s Haunted History of the Tri-State, and many more. I Am Psychic Micheal, Smoky Wisdom Tarot and Spiritual So Simple will be among the Tarot Readers and metaphysical offerings.
According to Scott Worley, co-founder of the event, “The Appalachian Paranormal Arts and Culture Collective is a grassroots initiative dedicated to exploring the intersection of art, culture, folklore and the unknown in Appalachia.” Co-Founder April Morgan enthused, “We have amazing artists offering everything from custom crafted magic wands and jewelry to coloring books and healing teas, along with presentations from Appalachian Folklorists and authors.”
Hours of the event are 11 AM to 6 PM Saturday, May 11th. General Admission is $10, children under 10 free.
Haunted Beckley will offer a Ghost Tour and Paranormal Investigation later in the evening for an additional charge.
