QUINCY — A Quincy man suffered minor injuries in a one-car accident on Tuesday morning. Deputies from the Adams County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 172 south of the Marblehead exit. A 2015 Kia Sol driven by Robert Geisenhagen, 45, of Quincy changed lanes to allow merging traffic to enter the interstate, but the vehicle hydroplaned because of heavy rain.

Switch from curbside recycling to drop-off sites leads to 56 percent increase in material collected
QUINCY — The annual report from the City of Quincy’s Recycling Division showed the city collected 2.833 million pounds of material from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024.
