Man, 37, repeatedly stabbed after ambushing 2 people with dog on Queens street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was repeatedly stabbed on a Queens sidewalk Wednesday afternoon after he ambushed two people walking a dog, video shows.

The jarring surveillance video provided to 1010 WINS shows the 37-year-old man walking up behind the pair—a woman walking a Husky dog and a man on a knee scooter—before the stabbing at 49th Street and Broadway in Woodside, near NYCHA’s Woodside Houses.

He comes up behind them at 2:40 p.m., throws his jacket to the ground and sucker-punches the man on the scooter, video shows.

The man and woman then attacked him—with at least one of them stabbing him—in an assault that appeared to last less than 30 seconds.

It’s unclear if the three know each other or what may have preceded the broad-daylight fight.

The 37-year-old suffered stab wounds throughout his body but was in stable condition at a hospital.

No arrests had been reported Thursday as police continued to search for the man and woman seen in the video.
