Seven Crook County participants entered the 2024 VFW National Illustrating America Art Contest offered by Prineville VFW Auxiliary Dexter Fincher Post 1412. Cow rescued from a muddy bog in NW Oregon (video)
A cow named Ruby endured a “cow-culated technical rescue” Sunday according to a Mist-Birkenfeld Rural Fire Protection District Facebook post. Ruby’s owners called Mist-Birkenfeld RFPD volunteers saying that the cow was stuck in a marshy area of their property in Mist, Oregon and needed help, the post said.
