    UPDATE: Suspect involved in Mercer County stabbing incident turns himself in

    UPDATE: MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The suspect from the stabbing incident turned himself in at the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department to answer a Malicious Assault warrant.

    The suspect is Tevas Jermaine Hill, a 46-year-old male from Princeton.


    MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On April 10, 2024, at approximately 3:20 PM, Deputies responded to an altercation at the Dollar General Store on Athens Road. The information received from Mercer County 911 indicated that a male subject may have been stabbed during the altercation.

    The investigation revealed that two adult males fought in the parking lot, and one of them stabbed the other. After the stabbing, the suspect fled the area, and the victim waited for Deputies and EMS to arrive.

    Princeton Rescue Squad transported the victim to Princeton Community Hospital, where he was subsequently transported to Carillion Hospital for further treatment.

    The suspect is still at large, but this is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

    The names of the victim and suspect will not be released at this time.

    Lieutenant S. A. Sommers and Deputy N. J. Mason are investigating this incident.
