Migratory songbird migration underway in Price County
Migratory songbirds are now returning to Price County from their wintery grounds in Central and South America. This is a sign that spring has finally arrived and the air is filled with bird song once again after a long, unusually warm, mostly snowless winter. The Price County Sheriff’s Office issued a required status update for a first-degree sex-offender who was recently released from prison and is now residing at N6699 State Highway 111 in the town of Harmony. The offender, John G. Nolan, 87, has gray hair, blue eyes, is 5-feet, 9-inches and 242 pounds. Cancer support bicyclist to cross Price County in a 4,100 Mile cross-country ride
Al Reszel started riding his bike north from the Florida Keys on March 23, to kick off his seventh cross-country journey and solo bicycle ride in support of his wife Terry, a breast cancer survivor. New home construction increases
The Wisconsin Builders Association is reporting single-family construction has increased 36% in the first quarter of 2024. Price County has a 40% increase with 14 new home starts from January through March which compares to 10 new starts for the same period in 2023, according to an April 29 press release.
