    4-day search is over for missing man who drove into floodwaters; Body located by Missouri State Highway Patrol Underwater Recovery Team

    OZARK COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — The search for a missing man who drove into floodwaters on Tuesday is over. Missouri State Highway Patrol Underwater Recovery Team located the body of Brian Richardson, 50, of Pottersville, Mo. 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

    This began early Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. E-911 received a distressing call from a woman saying her boyfriend's vehicle had been swept off Warren Bridge on County Road 328 due to the fast-moving waters of Bryant Creek.

    “Despite the challenging conditions caused by recent heavy rainfall, which led to rapid water flow and substantial debris, responders located the vehicle at approximately 7:30 a.m., about 100 feet downstream from the bridge.”

    In the report from Troop G the investigation states Richardson exited the pickup and went below the water surface. He never resurfaced.

    Ozark County Coroner pronounced Richardson on scene as the body was located in Bryant Creek.
