GALVESTON, Texas – A man is dead after authorities said he was involved in a shootout with police at a Galveston bar Wednesday. According to the Galveston Police Department, officers were investigating an incident where a man reportedly illegally entered a home on Galveston’s East End around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

BATON ROUGE - A St. Martinville woman was arrested in Texas for tax fraud after allegedly forging a W-2 for a company that did not employ her. The Louisiana Department of Revenue announced Thursday it had arrested Ashley Seaux of St. Martinville in Galveston. Seaux faces charges of felony theft and filing of false public records.
