Port Arthur Rotary awards 22 local scholarships

The Port Arthur Rotary held its annual Scholarship Banquet at the Carl Parker Center on the campus of LSCPA.

Committee Co-Chairs are Carolyn J. Brown and Delilah Francis.

This year’s motto is a quote from Benjamin Franklin, “An education is the investment with the greatest returns.”

The club awarded 22 scholarships.

To be considered, students must apply through their counselors.

This year’s recipients are Alyani Arellano, Bob Hope HS; Cindy Arroyo, Memorial HS; Kaylei Ballard, Wilson Early College HS; Camila Barragan, Bob Hope HS; Corleone Brown, Wilson Early College HS; Marshalei Daniels, Memorial HS; Imberli Dammian, Bob Hope HS; Janyia Felder, Wilson Early College HS; Anyla L. Freeman, Wilson Early College HS; Evelyn Hernandez, Bob Hope HS; Melissa M. Lopez, Wilson Early College HS; Julian Medina, Bob Hope HS; Hayden Mosley, Wilson Early College HS; Silvia Munoz, Wilson Early College HS; Andy Nguyn, Wilson Early College HS; Jaden Nguyen, Wilson Early College HS; Mia Paddio, Wilson Early College HS; Roniel Saavedra, Bob Hope HS; Jackeline J.
