Volunteers honor fallen heroes ahead of Memorial Day in Portland, Lewiston
PORTLAND, Maine — As we honor and mourn those military men and women who never made it home this Memorial Day weekend, events were already underway Friday. Dozens of volunteers spent hours placing flags at the graves of fallen soldiers at Eastern Cemetery in Portland. More than 200 soldiers are buried there.
