Now under new ownership, Portneuf Valley Brewing and Pizzeria grand opening set for Oct. 30
POCATELLO — Portneuf Valley Brewing, a local fixture for roughly three decades, will reopen Oct. 30 as Portneuf Valley Brewing and Pizzeria, a pizza-focused restaurant and event venue under new owner Tyson Hinz. Customers can dine in or order delivery on opening day. They can also try the pizza alongside Portneuf Valley Brewing’s original classic beers. The restaurant will be open Thursday through Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday, for its first six months. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekends. “I want to make sure it’s a well-oiled machine before I let loose on seven days a week,” Hinz said. Orders can be placed online or by phone and delivered by the restaurant’s own drivers. It will not use DoorDash or Uber Eats. Hinz said he was interviewing drivers and expects them to be hired by opening. “I want my product represented by my people,” Hinz said. Hinz said the dough is made with locally sourced honey but isn’t specifically sweet. “I really like restaurants that focus on one thing
