Ex-Diamond ‘Dog Roman Angelo promoted from Rawhide to Hops
(KSEE/KGPE) – Former Fresno State baseball pitcher Roman Angelo has been promoted within the Arizona Diamondbacks’ organization. Angelo is moving up from the Visalia Rawhide to the Hillsboro Hops. In 25 innings for the Rawhide, Angelo struck out 40 batters while only allowing 11 runs. The Former Bulldog leaves Visalia with a .360 ERA.

TRACK AND FIELD 27 athletes from MVT schools qualify for Section Masters meet
KINGSBURG – A total of 27 track and field athletes from Mid Valley Times region schools have qualified for the upcoming Central Section CIF Masters Meet in Clovis. That number includes champions in 11 individual or relay events from four section divisional meets contested on May 10 at four separate sites. Leading the way are individual multiple winners Julian Ramirez (Division II boys shot put, discus) and Avril Mendoza (D-II girls 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles) from Dinuba High along with Immanuel’s Alexandra (Lexi) Schartmann (D-IV girls 200, 400 and anchor 4×800 relay).
