FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A new aquatic complex will be unveiled at the Justin Garza High School on Wednesday, which is described as a hub for learning, growth, and fun, officials with the Central Unified School District announced on Tuesday.

According to district officials, the new Aquatics Complex at Justin Garza High School features two state-of-the-art Myrtha competition pools. The pools will consist of modular stainless-steel wall panels with a bonded PVC membrane, ensuring longevity and optimal functionality for years to come

Additionally, district officials say the complex will feature a classroom for instructional learning, locker and shower building, covered bleacher seating, scoreboard, and sports lighting— making the Aquatics Complex a hub for learning, growth, and fun.

Central Unified officials say the addition was made thanks to the voters’ support of measure D in 2020, and the completion of the project was made possible thanks to the Central Unified Facilities Team, PBK Architecture, Mark Wilson Construction, and the prime trade Contractors.

A ribbon-cutting event to unveil the Aquatics Complex will be held on Wednesday, May 15, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. at 4100 N Grantland Avenue in Fresno. Central Unified officials say the 2024 Justin Garza High School swim and dive team will showcase their skills at the Complex’s inaugural demonstration.
