Suns Owner Says 26 NBA GMs Would Trade Their 'Whole Team' for Phoenix’s

The Phoenix Suns' 2023-24 campaign ended via a first-round playoff sweep at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this week.

Despite the disappointing early postseason exit, the Suns appear committed to running it back with the same core next season.

On Wednesday, owner Mat Ishbia sounded confident in his team's overall construction, saying that '26' other NBA general managers would trade their entire team to be in Phoenix's position.

"Ask the other 29 GMs, 26 of them would trade their whole team for our whole team, our draft picks, and everything as is," Ishbia said. "The house is not on fire.

    "We're in a great position."

The Suns certainly aren't in the worst position of any NBA team - but they're definitely not in the best, either.

Phoenix is not only short on first-round picks after landing Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant, but short on cap space , too. The Suns will need to make some significant moves to free up money in order to fill out the roster surrounding Beal, Durant and Devin Booker - that is, assuming all three remain out West next season.

It's going to be an intriguing offseason in Phoenix.
