Earlier this offseason, the New England Patriots released wide receiver DeVante Parker, allowing him to be picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, after just a couple of months with his new team, Parker has announced his retirement from the NFL after nine seasons, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter .

Parker, 31, was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2015 draft following a collegiate career at Louisville.

He spent seven seasons with Miami before being traded, along with a 2022 fifth-round selection, to New England for a 2023 third-round pick.

Parker spent two seasons with the Patriots, appearing in 26 games and catching 64 passes for 933 yards and three touchdowns.
