Joel Embiid’s Game 5 Status Revealed After Missing Morning Workout

To say the first round of the NBA Playoffs has been rough for the Philadelphia 76ers would be an understatement. They find themselves down 3-1 in the series and have blown multiple games late due to controversial calls and poor closing performances.

It doesn’t look like the road will get any easier for Philly.

Sixers insider Keith Pompey shared on X Tuesday morning that Joel Embiid is listed as questionable for the pivotal Game 5 matchup due to a migraine.

“Joel Embiid is not at shootaround. He is questionable with a migraine,” Pompey shared.

This has caused fans to question Embiid’s toughness. Others are claiming he is already setting up excuses for tonight’s elimination game versus the New York Knicks.

"Every playoffs it's always something with this dude. Just incredible," another person added.

This isn’t the first hurdle Embiid has had to face this season, the former MVP had undergone a surgical procedure to repair the meniscus in his left knee earlier this season.

It was also announced a little over a week ago that he had been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, a condition that can paralyze an entire half of the face.

Whether that is related to his migraine remains unknown, but one thing is for certain, Philadelphia's odd to come back in the series takes a massive hit without their star center.
