PEARL, Miss. ( WJTV ) – With another round of possible severe weather later this week, a Pearl business owner is concerned about more damage in the area. The recent storms ripped off the front of Paradise Pools and Spas, located on South Pearson Road.

“I was scared that more internal damage was done. And with this being a family owned business, I mean, this is our means of operation. This is what keeps us going each week. So, I was scared the possibly be shut down for a while with the building being in the condition it is now,” said Robyn Henderson, an employee at Paradise Pools and Spas.

The business has been servicing the Central Mississippi area for more than 40 years.

Kari Beard, the owner, said it was emotional to see all of their hard work ripped apart.

“It’s a little sad. Now we have to rebuild, which could be a good thing. Give it a new phase. Everything is growing around here, so it’s time for an upgrade. We’re definitely not going to go back with the same material that we use the last time. We do have more storms coming, so we’re trying to prepare for that because we have a lot of open holes from the damage,” Beard said.

The business has started the cleanup process.
