PASCO, Wash. – Plants are in full bloom at Chiawana High School out in Pasco.
Chiawana FFA started its annual plant sale since Thursday, May 2nd, but there is still a chance to check it out. The sale will be open Saturday, May 4th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. or until they sell out. As of Saturday morning, the organization said they have plenty for everyone.
All proceeds will go to the FFA; the money helps them attend competitions. FFA members told Apple Valley News Now that the plants are a labor of love.
“It really helps to like job applications, you can list that you were a FFA member and dealt with sales and it helps you talk to the community and get to know more people," said Paxton Riner.
Addison Miller agreed. "We get to learn more about plants and what kind of stuff we sell and we get to help other people learn about plants.”
Cash, checks and cards accepted as payment but not Apple Pay.
The sale is at the Chiawana FFA Greenhouse, off RD 84. You can park near the greenhouses.
