‘Trump Force One’ clipped a parked plane at Florida airport

Former President Trump’s Boeing 757 clipped a parked plane while taxiing at a Florida airport Sunday morning.

Trump landed in Cincinnati on Wednesday, his day off from his hush money trial, for an intimate, high-dollar fundraiser, but he arrived in Ohio without his jet nicknamed “Trump Force One.”

According to an accident and incident notice from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), no injuries were reported when his plane clipped another, and there was an “unknown” amount of damage.

The notice said Trump’s plane landed at the Palm Beach International Airport around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday and was taxiing when one of its winglets, a tip on the end of a plane’s wing, struck the rear elevator of a parked plane.

No one was in the parked plane, registered to VistaJet, which is a private charter company, the FAA said, first reported by The New York Times .

The FAA said the incident occurred in an area of the airport that does not direct aircraft, but it would investigate what happened.

The Times reported the Boeing plane is registered to DJT Operations I LLC, one of Trump’s companies he owned before becoming president.

It has been questioned whether Trump Force One might be seized as part of the civil fraud penalty that the former president faces in New York. Trump posted a $175 million bond in the case April 1 to avoid a possible seizure of his assets as he tries to appeal the $464 million judgement against him.

Trump, who is required to be in court each week for his hush money trial, has often had to make campaign announcements away from his supporters and in unusual places, like the Manhattan courtroom or airport runways.
